Jean Deeth is a self taught bassist, formally schooled on piano, violin and trombone (!) Jean's early bass days featured a Hofner Beatle Bass and Saraband gigs at Ontario Place and the CNE bandshell. Over the years, she has had the privilege to deliver the bottom end for such Toronto talent as the Elaine Dark Band, Is My Slip Showing, Groovy G, Sudden Itch, Dylan Wickens, Lilia, Boo Watson, and Janet Whiteway. With a musical career that has transitioned through a variety of styles and basses, nowadays, Jean is loyal to the clean and fluid tones of her Turner Renaissance bass for her pop/ jazz/ folk/ funk and r&b sounds.
