JJ Sheppard has been playing the trumpet since age 9. She has an Honours Bachelor's degree in music from York University, which she completed in 2000. She has played with numerous local bands including Women Ah Run Tings, Have Mercy, Disco Dyke Divas, Inner City Fanatics and Janet Whiteway. She has also played with the Metropolitan Silver Band and in many orchestra pits for various musical productions. In addition, JJ is an accomplished sound and recording engineer and completed the Audio Engineering course at Harris Institute for the Arts in 2003. When she isn't tooting her horn, she is helping to run Front Door Organics - delivering yummy food to the people in Toronto! |
